Teaching

Teaching plays an important role in my life. I have been giving lessons as a private tutor from the age of 20 and I also worked in music schools and primary schools in three different countries (Hungary, Austria, UK). I truly believe that music education is very important in a child’s life, even if one doesn’t train to be a professional musician.
I am experienced in working with children from the age of 4. With the smaller ones I usually start on easier instruments and with early childhood music education.

Thanks to my pedagogy studies I have learned about many different methods to bring music closer to the children and to help their general development through music. As a Hungarian, I know the Kodály method, and during my studies in Salzburg, home of the Orff Institute, I became familiar with the Orff Schulwerk too.

During my lessons I am attentive, I use efficient, diverse, and exciting methods of teaching with every age group, whilst focusing on the individual needs of each pupil. I work very well with children with a lot of enthusiasm and joy.

I finished my pedagogical studies with a focus on jazz- and pop music, and I believe that in a young child’s musical education it is important to incorporate these styles too, not only  classical music.

I am practiced in both individual- and group-lessons, and I always find the way to make learning music fun for the pupils.

Studies and also my experience shows that learning a musical instrument increases memory skills, improves coordination, reading, and comprehension skills, sharpens concentration, teaches discipline, and most importantly gives happiness and creates a sense of achievement to the child.

I am now teaching in Budapest, Hungary. For more information feel free to contact me!
